I was thinking about applying for a job with greenpeace, but they seem like radical hippies. I mean I'm not exactly the poster child for greenpeace, but I'd like to help. I just have a feeling I wouldn't even get the job based on looks alone.

Greenpeace is a huge organization. I don't think they got to where they are today by hiring people based on looks over qualifications.

I'm trying to find a solid nonprofit to work for that helps the environment. But I can only find advertisements for Greenpeace in DC. I just want a reliable place I can grow in professionally.

It'd be more than what I and many other are doing.

Large non-profit groups just seem interested in memberships to help lobby politicians. What they are lobbying for isn't always a good thing. Take PETA for example.

there are a lot of good organizations in DC, and most of the dc offices are on the professional side. i think they send the hippies out to chain themselves to trees. are you looking to volunteer or job ap?
