i think i'm smarter than my professor

i hand in a descriptive paper about my experience in amsterdam and how it is a very culturally diverse place. I write my essay in the utmost ability, i always sound smarter than i look in my essays and portray everything out to be the best of the best. i describe everything in my essays in the utmost. she says i write my sentences/words incorrectly and it makes the sentences confusing, whereas my interpretation and my proof readers interpretation makes sense in its totality. i actually think i am writing in a level which is higher than most in the class and she apparently does not understand my form of writing. i'm just totally befuddled because i cannot believe a english professor cannot understand my interpretations of things, the words i use are unique/generic/interesting and she still seems not to be able to make of what i am writing. i've always written like this in my first year as well and a professor has never been troubled to give me a b or higher. i'ts the most frustrating thing i've ever experienced in a college course, for papers and the understanding.

Alright so i go to her after class and she tells me that its for the reader to understand not you, and that she understands i have great potential for the essay but still we have indifferences in interpreting.
take this sentence "As i stepped foot into Schipol Internation Airport, i had felt the aroma of the great vibe that Amsterdam was about to give me"
this is just one of many, but this sentence is as clear as can be am i right? she thought that aroma meant the smell of pot. and i said back absolutley not, i mean how can you interpret it to be pot, i'm as clear as can be its so obvious what i'm heading towards!

i can list more if you guys want but i'm just in total awwe right now because this is bullshit

dude when you walk out of an airline into an airport the first thing you are not gonna smell is pot and i right? the smell of being in amsterdam and the surroundings had given me a greater awareness of how the place was going to be portrayed to me. understand?

This sentence makes NO sense man. Is your entire paper like this? Are you just trying to sound smart?

You are just adding words that are not needed.

"I had felt?"

Why not just say "I felt"?

Furthermore how are vibes being smelt? You do understand the definition of aroma correct?

how does it not make sense, ok i understand maybe felt should be changed to a different word but the rest is complete.

i can't believe people don't understand what i'm writing, because i understand fully. think about it in a worldly or in the mind of an diversified writer. i like to say words that make everything and i mean everything complete. its a descriptive essay man..

bitch, i definitely have come a long way. you would have to understand my style of writing, it still befuddles me that people like you come to no understanding.

bitch it is correct english, and nigga you is stupid, people write different and their is no ignorance involved. this is where an open mind comes into play

but i do take constructive criticsm into mind.

seriously man, you probably have the same problem i used to have

i never used to let my writings flow naturally, i'd always try to spruce them up a bit with fancy words and phrases, which would make my finished product a convoluted piece of shit.  when i'd write it, it would seem alright, but when someone else read it to me, i realized that i just sounded like a douchebag who was trying to write in a style more proper and professional than my own

No. Wrong, wrong and more more wrong. Man I write a lot. Hell I'm working on a fucking novel, and in my opinion you write incorrectly. This is how you come off as...

"Yesterday I had went to the store which was gigantic, large, big, tall in stature. At the store I was filled with the aroma of wanting to buy, purchase and credit all that my eyes, visual cortex and vision could see. After the store I had went home by using my car, automobile which was red, but not that red of a cherry. It was the red of my soul."

Erase what you THINK you know, and start to get better. First step? Start typing correctly on this message board. How do you expect to be banging out essays when your NORMAL writing patterns are that of a 10 year old child? You cannot write man, and that is okay. You can get better. Get rid of this attitude though, you sound like Kanye West.

QUALITY, NOT QUANTITY. You can add a million words to a sentence, but you cannot add quality by randomly throwing adjectives around.

lol that's kind of how i feel, although i've never had any problems in the past with my papers. no lower than your average c. maybe i am trying to hard as you say, but when you sped out to bits on adderall it makes you just go on and on and on and on, and you just write a handful of goood/quality b.s., maybe i need to slow that down and make it a tad bit more simplified.

Just from that one sentence you posted, it's obvious that you do not comprehend half the vocabulary you are throwing in there. I was basically stumbling to read that last phrase and it reminds me of my days in 9th grade when we had to proof read each other's papers.

and if i was you i'd take Rocker232's advice instead of getting defensive, he is a smart dude and his upfront honesty should be appreciated not resented

ok i understand you p.o.v. , i also understand your veteran status in writing. i take this message board pretty lightly when it comes to typing also, maybe thats good maybe thats bad but i feel on a message board its far different than writing and essay whereas you have to make complex sentences. here i can say what i please without sounding correct if i will, usually i'm on xanax which i am now, which is probably why i havent yelled or ranted to the fullest. and on here its harder for me to use correct punctuation due to the fact that i can't type with a full spectrum of a writing format. i was pissed when i left the class and still am , but i keep my emotions controlled. its jumbled i know but take it with a grain of salt.
