i was in the same situation, last year around april, i had a scalpal in  my hand, and was going to stab this crazy jamacian guys eyes out, but just as he was about to enter the room i was in, the cops knocked on the door, and he ran off, but got caught anyways, i can honestly say being in that situation, that you cant tell if the guys armed or not, and in the heat of the moment, unless your a complete idiot, you going to fuck that burgler up, or hes going to fuck you up.

if you break into someones house there's a chance you're going to be arrested, injured or killed. this burglar knew what he was risking. maybe he would have turned around and been a good person some day, or maybe he would have just kept doing this for the rest of his life. either way he's dead now and that kid got a kick ass story out of it.

Smart enough to get in? How hard is it to break into a house? It sure wasn't smart to break into a house with people in it.

And first degree murder? Really? If he chased the guy out into the street and stabbed him in the back as he was running away, that might be second degree at best.

If someone is fucked up enough to break into your house while you're in it, there's no telling what they might do.

You have obviously never been in this situation. first of he grabed a weapon like any normal thinking person to DEFEND himself. I don't sit there and go whats that noise, I think I'm gonna attack whoever it is! That is just STUPID THINKING. You grab a weapon and if there is a threat towards you or your family, you subdue the situation by any means possible. He got what was coming to him. And how do you know he didn't get attacked? Thats how the owners are found dead the next morning because they found the robbers and they didn't have weapons to defend themselves. Happens all the time. If you heard someone breaking into your house and you didn't have a gun, you'd be fucking shitting yourself, don't lie.
You don't know how many there are, what they're like, what they're on, or if they're armed.
So you take the most pwerful weapon you can find with you.
The guy lunged at him, he could have had a knife, a poisoned knife, an ice pick, a taser, a scalpel, a fucking grenade for all he knew. Could have been dark, hard to see.
I'd have done exactly the same thing.
If someone breaks into your house when you're still in it and lunges at you, assume he's going to kill you, don't wait to find out.

This is really a stupid argument... Any cubensis mushroom hunter would know that trespassing can lead to getting shot at, and your not even stealing anything of value from the farmers... let alone breaking and entering into a house and expecting to be able to get away. Shit if someone breaks into my house, im not gonna think twice about slashing the guy with my katana before he could injure or kill my family/friends. And BTW owning a katana doesnt make u a fantasy fag. For all you know the kid had been to japan and was just cultured. Of course it is fucking hilarious to think he was having withdrawls from Final fantasy due to his ps being stolen and thats why he was so ready to swing away at the guy haha
