Don't take everything I say so seriously.

Why don't I do anything about it?  Because I have better things to do than arrest pot smokers, AND I have better things to do than go to some hippie pot rally.  What else can I do?  Bitch to the Commander or Chief?  Write a letter to my Senator?  I guess, but a whole hell of a lot of good that will do.

I'll keep doing my job and arresting violent criminals and busting people selling dope.  You do your job (since you are the one this bugs so much) and try to make a change.

Look, I don't even want to discuss drug laws.  All I really would like, is for you to at least give me this: you gotta admit that not ALL cops are bad.  Trust me, there really are a lot of police officers out there who are really good people and really try to help the community out.

Of course I'll accede that fact, I've known some very friendly pigs, even smoked a bowl with one or two of them.  Yes, they do help us out at certain times.  All I am saying is that a cop who beats his own conscience into submission to uphold a fucked up law is a waste of kevlar, and a waste of internal organs.

Why would you not turn in or arrest a fellow officer if he or she was breaking the law?? You guys would not hesitate to, at the very least harrass or arrest or ticket a civilian non officer do the same thing!

It is called being a hippocrit. Punish others cause its the law, its your job, but turn around and do the same thing you just punished others for!

You do realize the level of respect the average citizen has for cops right?  We respect government jobs that help out citizens like firemen, those are some respectable people.  Put their life on the line for no gain in power, no ability to exert power over other citizens, just pure helping.  You on the other hand saw the power grab, weighed it against the danger, and plunged onward.
