BRF For Jars?

I was wondering if there is something better to use besides BRF for jars. I've heard millet is good but I'm not sure where to find it. Any input would be helpful. Thanks ahead of time! Btw, the jars are gonna be used with Creepers.

Get it at pet/feed shops, its basically just budgie feed. There are loads of varities, just get the plainest one. The plainer the better. Don't get the expensive ones with added fungicide, 'cos thats what your trying to grow. And don't send your Girlfriend, I asked mine to stop at the petshop on the way home from work and she bought the shops entire supply of millet - on sticks, the kind you hang-up like a twig! Stupid Woman!

Since I don't yet own a pressure cooker, I haven't started experimenting with grain, although I hear that the yeild and potency is better.
I have found that mycos like ground brown rice better than BRF. I put my whole brown rice in a coffee grinder and chop it up to a coarse consistency, with a few chunks.

If you were to use millet instead of BRF for 1/2 pint jars (PF tek), would you simply replace the 1/4 cup of BRF with millet and use the same 1/2 cup of vermiculite? Also, I've read that you shouldn't use millet unless you have a pressure cooker. Is this true? thanks
