Will Tampanensis grow on a rye berry substrate?

I've never grown them, but according to TMC, yes rye grain can be used as a substrate, but they recommend rye grass seed over rye grain.

Yeah I saw that you could use the grass seed, but it is nice tyo know that I can use the berries. ty.

They will grow on about any grain.I've had great results with straw as well.For me,the vast majority of stones are in the casing layer.
