Ok the main point of what I was saying is that over time the weed has been bred for potency as well as yield. You can't tell me that wild marijuana plants are equal in potency to the shit we have today, therefore we must have increased the potency. I don't really care about the arguement anymore. If you smoke some medical from today, it will seriously fuck you up, but I'm sure you guys had some seriously dank stuff back in the day.

I dunno... I cant say that I've ever stumbled across any 'wild' marijuana
plants other than ruderalis which it doesnt matter how it's grown, it'll
yeild nothing more than a headache

even with this scenario you try and present it's impossible to know, 
are we talking about similar conditions, are the plants being allowed to
go to seed, as niteowl said, there's too many variables

look at companies like Monsanto that are engineering plants for high
yields, pest resistance, etc... nothing is coming from that, there's no
increased yields over the normally cultivated strains and all their
research is above board

Aight well, you are obviously more knowledgable than me. I thought it was common knowledge that weed from today is far more potent than weed from back in the day. I concede the arguement to you.  :bow2:

it's about scientific evidence, not common knowledge as common knowledge
says that some guy did acid and became a glass of orange juice, there's no
scientific evidence to support the claims when the studies arent in the
hands of the public, it's easy to make a graph or an 'official' statement
and claim it as fact but how is anyone to dispute it based on the evidence
when the evidence is suppressed

The THC levels were not tested 40 years ago
so there really isn't any way to compare the two

Nor is there a universal trimming and drying method from which to gauge THC percentage. This point always seems to get overlooked.
