Thanks I'll check the forum out. Another thought. If Terence Mckenna was correct and we DID evolve by psychedelics, then that means only those of us that take psychedelics will continue to evolve. In essence, there will still be "humans" as there is "monkeys"... maybe the next step is telepathy in a race of "post-humans"

IMO when we feel like 'God' had spoken to us/shown us something
it is really just the Great Mother talking to you

And that's what makes me laugh about people who call humans a cancer, especially Americans.

The problem is not in America per se.  We are not growing that fast and among the demographic represented here on the board (college educated msotly), population is actually FALLING.

It's in the 3rd world, Asia, and Europe where the environment is most at risk.  Europe no longer has a natural environment to speak (forest totally cut down) and Asia is so densely populated it's hard for Americans to imagine.  The 3rd world is just plain a shitpot of pollution and overpopulation.

But, at least Europe and America have basically found a balance.

Earthwide, the only solution is to bring birth control and depopulation to Asia and the 3rd world, which can't support their population and whose industrialization represents a TRUE global environmental disaster.

When 700 million Chinese and 600 million Indians have cars, then people can cry about carbon emissions.
