Shaggy Parasol?

Never seen these before, been a lot of rain here so I'm seeing new stuff.
Are these Shaggy Parasols?
That's a cardboard flat that 12 cans of pop come in to give you some idea of the size.



Habitat: Wood - Found in deciduous park, growing away from trees, elm I think.

Gills: white. The gills are free.

Stem: Woody, white to brown, cracked at points, younger specimen is all white ( I dug it up only top of cap was showing )

Cap: scaly 4-8 inches in diameter.

Spore print color: Being printed right now.

Bruising: Orangish pink darkening to brown when cut.

Location: Picked in south west Canada

With the habitat, bruising and pictures, I'd feel pretty confident that you have what you think you have (Chlorophyllum rachodes).  Make sure the prints have NO green in them (Chlorophyllum molybdites), but I think that species is usually found in warmer climates.

I'm not a trusted ID'er, but I put things that look and act just like yours in my mouth on a regular basis :smile:
