The truth is that they dont really matter. As you post here and interact over a long period of time, im talking a few years, the good rates that you potentially can get outweigh the rapes from OTD. Ive been raped at least twice. Dont let them get you. they WANT you to react and get you in a flame war or just to get you to complain, best thing to do is to blow it off, move on and post with intent to cause positive discussion.

Ratings rape is absolutely necessary in some cases.  I think I got it once or twice back in my NewbieShroomie days..  Some people need a nice chink of bad ratings to set them straight and like OP said they adjust in the end anyway.  :shrug:

I don't give a fuck about my ratings.  Period.  And if you care about internet ratings left by a bunch of sub-genre psychedelic users called "otders" then talk to your shrink about it.  Not shroomery staff.  We are all adults here, some sub-genre psychedelic users aren't, but im not their mother, they can do as they please.
