first trip

The night before last I had my first mushroom trip, and I have to say I've never felt something so magically profound.

Alright, first I went over to my friend's house and smoked two bowls with her, her older brother, and his fiance. I was feeling pretty high from that good weed when we left, just after night had fallen, to walk to a wooded space behind the church that I feel safe in where we smoked in the past. We each ate about a third of a cap(maybe two inch cap, decent sized shroom), and a piece of stem, though after a moment we decided to eat a second piece. We chatted about life, before leaving on the half mile trek to her house. We hugged and went our separate ways at the road by her house, and soon I noticed my fleeting thoughts not bothering me and the world seeming brighter. Even putting out a cigarette in unison with a car passing on a traffic cylinder felt somehow significant. I became more stoic as I came up, over the next hour or so, becoming cautious of the woods and such at night too for some reason. When I got home I stood in the dark a moment, pet the dog, and talked to mom and her boyfriend. When I got downstairs and looked in the mirror I thought I looked like a crack head with suck wide dilated eyes. I called dad and chatted, eventually letting him go as I began peaking. It was beautiful and mellow.  smoked some green throughout the session, got way close to my reflection and scratched at the mirror, stood in the pitch black stairwell and stared into the darkness, and even ate some tuna sandwiches. It just felt weird, a big grin across my face. Eventually I came down, and sadly had no major visuals, but some faint patterns in the dark. I felt on the edge of the mundane, and if I had eaten any more things may have been more then what I felt, but it seemed like a perfect first time. Even the taste was wonderful to me.

It's a while later and I still feel pretty happy. Some people are being cunts, but I'm trying not to let that mess my new feeling up.

I don't care about visuals when I trip, it's all about that beautiful feeling that you've captured so elegantly. The feeling that the world is so magnificent and strange, and that you'll never get to know everyone you might want to know or do everything you want to do but at least you can try, and at least you can have these beautiful thoughts in the back of your brain.

Exactly! Though next friday, when I take more, I hope to have some visuals

Yep, I can understand that. My first few trips I never got visuals and I always wanted to know what everyone was talking about, lol :tongue: The first time I had visuals, it was pretty nuts. The wall breathing, my computer monitor going convex, snakes under my bed, bright colours, that wasn't on too high a dose though.
