the american version of "Funny Games", although unlike the movies listed above was pretty psychologically painful for me to watch.  I saw it almost a year ago, and I still think about it.  I still regret watching it.

What is it? I aint clicking on nothing at this point. You people got me tripped out without even seeing anything.

What is it about "Gummo" that messes everyone up? The wiki doesn't sound too disturbing.

No blood, gore, or nudity, just a conversation between a boy and his father. Drama at its most disturbing.

I'm having a hard time sitting through Tideland.  I hate to not give a movie a chance but after 45 minutes I don't think I can finish this.

Tideland is the only reason I made this thread.

I've seen some disturbing movies in my time but this one takes the cake.

However, I'm oddly fascinated with this film.

The entire movie looks like it's up on youtube:

It just gets progressively disturbing as the film goes on.

I watched Gummo about a year ago, and just thought it was retarded more than anything.  I really don't see why everyone thinks its "disturbing", seems to just ramble with no point at all, or maybe I am missing something.

I also don't see the point of watching a horror film to just experience these feelings of disgust, disturbedness, brutality, gore and general extreme negativity which in the end, most times, just leaves you to regret watching the film in the first place and with your mind focused on the gory parts that you can't get out of your head because they're so fucked.  I don't know, it just seems to me, to be unnatural unneeded negativity that everyone could do without.

Tideland should be your flick then for disturbing.

It's a movie everyone will say, "WTF did I just watch?" at the end of viewing.
