Why doesnt congress has strict guide rules like our drug industry?

I hate seeing senators and house representatives up on the stand coaxing their fellow mates with their testimonials and knowledge from watching youtube videos. I shit you not people decide laws based on youtube videos its fucking outrageous. Like in my english class we had to site sources and we couldn't use wikipedia because its too unprofessional and our reps are using youtube to push their bills thats F'ed up. I want some hard evidence some real statistics with some random sampling of 1,000 people or more, our government is completely archaic.

I don't think there is a rule that laws and policy need to be made on objective, reasonable evidence.

I don't know that implying that the drug industry is more regulated than congress is logical.

They make a lot of fiscal policy decisions based on mainstream, neoclassical economics, which is also largely bullshit with an agenda.  But I bet if you cited the same economists that Congress does, your classes would count it as a legitimate source.  The point is, even "reputable" sources can completely full of shit, and can be manipulated for one's own pre-determined agenda.  Think of all the scientists the tobacco industry hired to say that nicotine isn't addictive.

dumb women seem to have better jobs than brilliant women. which would explain why i busted my ass at LAMCO and buck passing bitches who act completely unprofessional made it so i had to do that much more.
