Marijuana plant has been growing fora bout a month

it is a sativa so it's been taking long.  my first grow  and it is almost onto it's 5th layer of leaves.

now my question is-  is there enough time left to the summer for me to move it outdoors or would I be better off keeping it in a cup/pot and moving it around?  I have a 50 watt grow light for what it's worth.


pictures will follow soon.  I've been reading a lot on growing, but this shit can be confusing sometimes

Sativas don't take long in the vegetative cycle to grow, they usually grow really fast. Sativas take long to flower.

50watt grow light? What's that? A CFL or florescent?

Not sure what your area is, so who knows if it is too early to move outdoors, but my guess is that its probably too late for a sativa.

the grow light- is a 50 watt philips blue light bulb


I'm midway between new jersey and new york city.    the weather has been really weak this summer

Probably want a better light. I was using 48 watt CFL's (two of them) and my node length was ridiculous (like 4-5mm). The 250w and 400w MH/HPS lamps also get the job done quite well. I would say that there is time left if it's been growing for 5 mo. :shrug:

it's been growing around one month I think.     

I think I will put it outside next week when there is a line up of sunny days.


i gotta ask one thing more thing though-  my cup that it's in is starting to get moldy- would it be legit for me to pull out the plant and put it in another cup?  that shouldn't be  a prob;em to move it?
