There were no "Good Ol' Days"
    #10754310 -

Do you remember the good ol days, fellas? I sure don't, guys. These days are the good ol days. Honestly, what's so great about those days? Nothing. Violence is at the lowest it's been perhaps ever. There's nothing to protest, there's nothing to fight, except maybe some marijuana reform. But honestly, that's just a bunch of potheads showing the facts.

So tell me, what's so fucking great about the "good ol days," please fellas.

Guys, you know what I'm talkin about. We got soldiers over in Iraq. Boo fucking hoo, you signed up. It's your fucking job. You're gettin paid, you're taken care of. So lets think about this for a second. We've got soldiers over there in Iraq who volunteered to enlist in the army. Now they are over there and OK, so they are in a desert, and what, so they get a little chaffed. Go back to the good ol days, guys, back in Vietnam where people had foot fungus and had to trench 20 miles just to get somewhere. Those were some good ol' fuckin days. I miss em.

Back then they were protesting the draft. Meanwhile these pussies here bitch cuz they fucking volunteered. I have respect for these guys, please do not get me wrong. I don't want to be out there in the dessert, but honestly, bitch about how the AC isn't high enough in your Hummer, please. But better you then me, that's what I always say. Unless of course you're winning the lottery. But fellas, the good ol' days are right here and right now, just like they were back in the "good ol' days" and the good ol' days are tomorrow, and the day after.

I'll tell you one thing we can bitch about today though, that makes these days not so fucking great. The Pussification of America. We are turning into a bunch of pussy ass bitches. Did you know teachers can't use red pen anymore? At least around me. You know why? Because when kids to bad on tests they'll feel bad. Good, they should fucking feel bad. Stop being a fucking pussy. And the fat kid getting picked on? He should be fucking picked on a bit, maybe he'll lose some fucking weight, or maybe he'll become a fucking man about it and give them a beating back. Stop being a fucking pussy fat kid. Yeah you may be picked last for kickball, but get the fuck over it, pussy.

Kids back in teh day were exposed to lead-based paints, colored with toxic crayons. They drove in cars that didn't have seat belts or airbags. There was no such thing as AD-fucking-D 30 years ago? So what happened? Guys, please tell me what happened here? Oh, I know.

Are you tired? Do you have headaches? Yea? Well you sound like a perfect candidate for our new anxiety disorder medication

Yep, that's it right there. So what the fuck? Bunch of fucking pussies.

So, so guys, wait a second here. You're telling me that we have all these "advances" in medicine and jibber-jabber? Then explain to me how mroe people then ever have sleep apnea, high blood pressure, asthma, high colesterol, and depression?

Fellas, what the fuck?

Stop feeding your fucking kids fast food and learn to cook a fucking meal, YOURE KILLING THEM FATTY! By the way, when was the last time you saw your fuckin cock n' balls?

I do not find much "sweet" about 2009. What is so sweet? At least the other era's mainstream music was pretty good, our mainstream music sucks dick. Not that I listen to mainstream music, but it'd be nice to know more people that listen to the bands I like. And drugs, hell, what the fuck? Everyone around me is doing blow and shooting themselves up when all I want to do is get psychedelic.

2009 ftl.

How is that any different than any other era? When we were flooded with Heroin and people were ODing left and right because of how strong it was? Why do you care about mainstream music if you don't listen to it? I don't listen to it, I don't give a fuck. I enjoy my music and I enjoy finding new music others show me that ISNT mainstream?

Why bitch if it's something that doesn't even have to do with who you are? "I hate people who don't use ATM machines and still go inside to the teller" so fucking what? You use an ATM machine, who fucking cares, move on, get over it.

People were always using drugs my friend, and people were always dying from them. Yesterday is no different than today, and today will be no different than tomorrow.

So all you want to do is get psychedelic? Go get psychedelic, and quit your fuckin bitching.

Sorry, I don't mean to be attacking you, I'm jsut ranting. This is just a general statement.

Hard to get psychedelic when no one in town needs, so no one in town supplies.

I find myself wishing I lived in the 60s/70s also...but theres a lot of great 'entertainment' available to us today via computers. Sure music was good then but theres nothing stopping you from enjoying it today, and if you want hippys im sure you could find them if you searched hard enough

I don't see where you are making your assumptions. I am sorry I do not like your "glorious" 2009, no need to attack me personally. I get out very often, has nothing to do with my feelings about the era. Hell if anything fuck this entire century for turning the country into mostly steel and concrete.

rocker growing your own mushrooms is easy as hell. dont let people tell you otherwise.  Also, people who fail at cultivation multiple times after being given the way to do it are just not intelligent.  There was a guy in cultivation that failed like 6 times at the pf tek, don't let idiots like this hold you back from creating your own psychedelics

Out of respect to my parents I choose not to do anything in their household that could get them into trouble. I am only 20 and won't have a place of my own for some time. Obviously when I do I will grow all my own drugs because paying for them is crazy. I'm just a tad jaded right now because I have a perfect day set up for my girl and I to take shrooms and I have had literally a handful of people bail on me. If I wanted to find Heroin I could have it here in 5 minutes, but god forbid I want to do something psychedelic. That's my point really.

That and I simply do not like the way things are moving. Not that they have been better, but this isn't some golden age of enlightenment. Not that any recently has been though. Give me feudal Japan.

The music argument is totally null.  You have access to all the music created in those times, the times after, and what is being created now.  Not to mention with the internet you don't even need to buy records anymore!

If there were time machines I would spend some time in the 60's, but I wouldn't wanna live there full time probably.

I don't think I'm really making assumptions. I'm just pointing out that things are great now, just like things were great then. You're chosing to look at the bad stuff when instead you should hold your head up when you walk. Stop looking down at your feet, ya feel me? It's about perspective man, you just need a little somethin different. I'm not tryin to attack you, you just put yourself out there for me to respond to. So thank you for that, I'm glad someone tried to give me a little push back.

Here, check out my friend Louis here, he does a good job at explaining it, plus he's a funny mother fucker.

I was a kid in the late 60's and 70's and it wasn't so great. I like the 21st century with all it's cool gadgets.

I don't think its null at all. Maybe you have a great music scene by you, I have shitty emo-core bands that everyone flocks too. Sure if I had $500 to spend I could go to a festival but I don't. I do like to complain about it though, I agree. I listen to a ton of great music, that is not my issue. My issue is the SCENE sucks. No one listens to good music and no one's even heard of the good shit. People love bands here that are just ripping off of better bands of 10 years ago. No one gets it.

You don't think things could be better? You don't think we should have more personal freedoms? You think its cool that no one on the east coast can afford a fucking house because of the rising places? Also cool that the banks and oil companies are practically running the scenes?

On the surface, yeah everything is great. But since when was a community like this concerned about the surface? I'd rather be in completely simple times (pre-tech) or the future of whatever is now.
