Going Tribal: AFRICAN VISION QUEST
    #4585276 - 08/26/05 08:01 PM (18 years, 7 months ago)

anyone else watch this show?

"Bruce faces one of his toughest tests as he is inducted into Bwiti, a rainforest religion practiced by the Babongo people of Gabon. He's right to be worried ? on occasion the ritual, which involves consuming an overdose of a powerful hallucinogenic, iboga, has proved fatal. This dramatic episode follows Bruce's build-up to the ceremony, as he goes hunting, collecting forest honey and spends time getting to know his new friends, before they judge the time is right for his "rebirthing" ritual."

this shows pretty awesome to say the least, shows a wide spectrum of living. never read much about iboga but it sounds like itll be a fun watch :ooo:

every time it's on...

i'm just waiting for the one with the Yopo...or i suppose it could be that^..

but in the commercial, you see a dude, blowing shit in his nose,i'm guess ing it's Yopo, and that shit burns so goddamned bad,he's in for a trip...

i like the show, very much, but i'm wondering if the tribes,or if the producers kinda force the tribes to put on a show to make it more spectacular...

if so that just screams Cannibal Holocaust scenario.haha...

sounds like an exploitation of things much too powerful and far beyond ourselves.

I cant see this to be good.
