can i use pickling lime ??

i just moved, and im having a hard time finding hydrated lime ( for casing), but i did find pickling lime, and i have been told that it should do the same thing. dose anyone know if i can use the pickling lime instead of hydrated lime ??

Pickling lime is hydrated lime. It's food grade. I use it, it works great. I have a 0% contam rate so far.

I think there the same thing- calcium hydroxide.
You don't want calcium magnesium carbonate (dolomite). Be gentle with it.
