calcium carbonate

i went shopping today and got all of the ingredients for the 50/50+ tek except i got the wrong kind of lime.

i read that calcium carbonate is better but i cant find it at any stores.

any store suggestions or useful links out there?

limestone powder and they sell it at home depot....  you can get it at feed stores too... i have heard of pple using gypsum (it has caco3)

I got mine at petsmart they use it for birds

Just about everywhere sells plain white chalk. You can use that.

Pickling lime is calcium carbonate, and you can get it at grocery stores where they sell the mason jars. Gypsum adds calcium and sulphur, which are both necessary elements for proper fruitbody formation. I suggest both.

I used railroad chalk and never looked back.
