Yea, pretty much Indias entire travellers scene is psychedelic friendly and influenced. India herself is not, although she still is a full sensory overload- but the entire travellers scene from clothing style to lifestyle is HEAVILY psychedelic influenced.
I remember one place I stayed at had about 10 people in total staying there, and every single one of us just spent a week tripping on acid. Not many places in the world where a random selection of the population has 100% psychedelic use.

I always enjoyed the Himalaya the most. Khullu Valley and Parvati Valley are both real nice. Ladakh as well. But I've only seen a fraction of the country, and would say it would be best to just go with the flow and wander around if you do go there.
