Filet mignon, cooked to 125F internal temperature.

Yum.

Even better if it's got a portabello mushroom cap on top of it that was fried at a low heat in butter for 15-20 minutes.

yeah i get mad if someone wants to put sauce on steak i cooked, it deff. takes away from the flavor. i like fresh chopped garlic, salt, pepper. sometimes i'll put a little terrayaki sauce on it. it sounds like a way to ruin a steak but once cooked you cant really taste it but it leaves alittle hint of flavor that matches the steak well.

i love some sautted mushrooms and onions with butter and fresh garlic.

i like tenderloin because its obviously the most tender but i swear a prime ribeye has a MUCH better flavor!

anybody like bleu cheese on a steak?

Ya dude steak sauce or ketchup is blasphemy.  Ruins a good cut of meat.

A nice mild marinade, on the other hand, is totally cool with me.

Meats just a reason to be able to eat A-1 sauce....

Same as fish is just a excuse to eat tartar sauce.....

I would say I eat 50/50 of tartar and fish and probably 30/70 for A-1 and steak.

Tartar sauce and lemon juice is pretty dank on fried fish.

Filet mignon, charred rare. :laugh:rool: A little sauteed onion, some garlic. Optional. If you've never tried charred rare, DEFINITELY try it some time. It's heavenly.

I'm not a big red meat eater, so i can't really answer the question.

However i tried wagyu beef for the first time at a traditional japanese restaraunt last weekend and my god, it was the most amazing thing i've ever tasted.

So good in fact, that im going back there in a few hours.

Ribeye. Bloody.

The story goes, or the way that I was told
There was a king that always felt too high and then he fell too low
And so he called all the wise men to the hall
And begged them for a gift to end the rises and the falls
But here’s the thing, they came back with a ring
It was simple and was plainly unbefitting of a king
Engraved in black, it had no front or back
But there were words around the band that said
Just know: This Too Shall Pass
