Mycelium Turning GREEN! Help!

I have 4 casing and some cakes in my terarrium. I put them all in the terarrium yesterday and misted it. A couple hours later, the mycelium that was growing has turned green and I guess died. I misted with non-sterile tap water, I have a light shinning on it directly for 24hours to supply heat and am using perlite for humidification. If anyone could please tell me whats wrong with what Im doing, I would greatly appreciate it, thank you

May be bruising , but you said "green" , that is kinda scary could be contaminated ! Give then a day or so and see if they recover . IMHO , use distilled water , tap water isnt good enough for my dogs ! Good Luck

If it is blue then it is bruising and after 30 min that is what it sounds like it would be.

I recently saw one of my possums cakes and it looked green on top. We were worried for a second, but then realized, as you did, that it couldnt happen within a matter of minutes. You are fine in my opinion. Prolly just some light bruising. With the whitness of the mycelium, mild bruising can look greenish. Give it a few days and i'd bet that it goes away. This is only my opinion, and not a very good one since there are no pics.
