Re: Why does anyone pitch to Albert Pujols? [Re: whattheheck]

I'm not giving A-Rod a pass for cheating.  His union and MLB did that.  I am extremely disappointed in him for doing it.  He didn't have to and he was a fucking moron.  I have seen zero evidence that he is what I would consider reasonably intelligent.  Which has nothing to do with nothing.  Do you know why you never see an interview with Valddy?

That has absolutely nothing to do with what happened regarding the violation of court ordered confidentiality.  I don't excuse A-Rod.  I want the  criminals involved in the leakage of sealed testimony prosecuted.  I wanted it in the Bonds case as well.  A reporter went to jail for contempt and a lawyer went to jail after that.  I want the same for Selena and her deep throats.

Speaking of throats, did you know Selena Roberts once tried to swallow a ferret?  She thought she was gonna learn ferratio.  True story.  Her high school music teacher told me.

I can appreciate that. As long as you see the irony in seeking justice from a system that is built on and actively rewards corruption.

First, I'm a hardcore Cardinals fan.

Second, albert gets pitched around a lot, it seems like the only pitchers that consistently try to pitch to him are the elite ones who want that pelt for their wall, you know "i struck out the big guy".  Also, there's plenty of in-game situations where it makes sense to pitch to him a) you're trying to get the middle of the order out 1,2,3 next inning and no one is on base, b)  you have runs to give C)  the game is tight and you don't want to advance the runner on first into scoring position by walking him...

there are more but mind's not focused right now

Or if the bases are loaded. Big Al already has 4 grand slams this season.

I just read this huge article on him on ESPN.com. A must read. I never knew his defensive numbers were so great as well. Not only does Jim Palmer say you should never pitch to him    :congrats:  the numbers show that he may be the best defensive 1st in the game.

Quite possibly the least corrupt in the world.

I'd walk him with the bases loaded. One RBI is better than 4 RBIs.

What group of several million people is ever going to have zero corruption?  I could corrupt you in 15 seconds.  Nor does that make it "based on corruption" or actively reward corruption.  Your paranoia is absurd.

That would be the wrong answer, obviously.

Since when are you a pie-in-the-sky idealist?

I'm not.  I just know it isn't tolerated.  Too many building inspectors go to jail.

Since holding such a position supports his current argument?

I think you may be right.  Just out of curiosity, since Steve McNair was killed by a bunny boiling nutcase is it your opinion that we are a nation of bunny boiling nutcases?

What does that have to do with a person trusting the integrity and seeking justice from a VERY corrupt justice system?

There's always a chance for a second career man.

The justice system in the US of A is astonishingly uncorrupt.

And yeah, I have thought about it.
