Recent photos, trumpets, chants and others

My last few hunts, so far it is the year of the trumpet, unbelievable amounts, they are everywere, not kidding thousands under one tree.  You cant really see but in the last photo behind the tree in the middle is a 3-400 pound black bear i stumbled onto, was within 50ft before he slowly walked away looking over his shoulder.

I will confess something that should be quite obvious, CC.  I love mushrooms, i.e. fungi.  I really do.  I am talking about a strong feeling, i.e. emotion, for them.  I think they are beautiful.  I even dream of them.

Thanks Bob, I wish it was a blue chanterelle...that would be awesome, but no it is Albatrellus caeruleoporus.

Thanks xtigers, two different locations, NJ/NY border and NJ/PA border, the "mountains" of Northern Jersey.

Thanks guys, yea cactu i think the dark spiny mushrooms are an Inocybe sp..  I guess you can call it a lake, its more of a natural pond on top of the mountain.

I am sorry to hear about your forest woes Ontario, I hope you find a nice area to hunt and I wish you luck.
