We went hunting at a park near my home for weiliis this afternoon and came up empty handed but we did find a bunch of chanterelles. I won't be trippin tonight but at least I'll eat well.
Only found a few yellow/gold ones.

Found a couple large patches of Black Trumpets. I saw the first one and said "Wow a black trumpet" then looked around and they were every where. I only grabbed a few of them.

Wow man, that is fucking amazing. SWEET! All three types in one area. Make soup out of all of them! I can't believe you found all three types. Nice cinnabarius chanterelles. I was gonna hunt edibles today but I hunted subbs and way lays with phishhead instead.

the orange chanterelles are SO amazingly good tasting sauteed in butter with salt and pepper served with grilled chicken or steak... Take a bite of mushrooms and a bite of meat at the same time the flavors synergize. They will go good on pizza too.

The orange ones are definitely spicier than the others. Good idea, I'll probably grill out tomorrow and sautee some to go with the steak.

Just perfect! Sautee in butter and go from there!

Nice. Last year, I find the yellows, cinnabarius, and trumpets together in great quanitity- I picked hundreds of trumpets. This year, there are very few in the same spot. It seems like moles or some other animal tunneled under all of the prime spots. damn!
