Panaeolina foenisecii, per Trab. Mus. Ciènc. nat. Barcelona, sèr. bot. 15(2): 109 (1933).

Old names are perfectly valid too.

Its acceptable to call them:

Agaricus foenisecii Pers., Icon. Desc. Fung. Min. Cognit. (Leipzig) 2: 42 (1800)
Coprinarius foenisecii (Pers.) J. Schröt., in Cohn, Krypt.-Fl. Schlesien (Breslau) 3.1(33–40): 565 (1889)
Drosophila foenisecii (Pers.) Quél., Enchir. fung. (Paris): 117 (1886)
Panaeolus foenisecii (Pers.) J. Schröt., Le Botaniste 17: 187 (1926)
Prunulus foenisecii (Pers.) Gray, Nat. Arr. Brit. Pl. (London) 1: 631 (1821)
Panaeolina foenisecii per Trab. Mus. Ciènc. nat. Barcelona, sèr. bot. 15(2): 109 (1933)
Psathyra foenisecii (Pers.) G. Bertrand, Bull. Soc. mycol. Fr. 17: 277 (1901)
Psathyrella foenisecii (Pers.) A.H. Sm., Mem. N. Y. bot. Gdn 24: 32 (1972)
Psilocybe foenisecii (Pers.) Quél., Mém. Soc. Émul. Montbéliard, Sér. 2 5: 147 (1872)

Take your pick.  :igor:

Neither.

Some people mistake certain species of conocybe for liberty caps. That's a potentially nasty error. Since you considered the mushrooms in this thread could be liberty caps, I think a mild warning is in place. On these boards, we'll be happy to help you out with any ID requests, especially if you prepare them the way you did for this thread.

Not a Psathyrella on account of the stems.
