epic fly battle

i just spent like 20 minutes in my room trying to kill a fly, but i have no fly swatter. i was using an old text book, but had no luck.

eventually i caught it in a plastic jar. in hindsight i wish i just put it outside. but thinking i would put it out of its misery i shook the crap out of the plastic jar with the fly inside.

the fly didn't die.

he is still alive now in this jar and i dont know what to do. he is all beat up from the battle, but can fly just enough that i can't let him have a chance to escape if i try to squash him. i would just lose him and he would die elsewhere in my room.

:shrug: i don't k now what to do!

I would have cooled him down (to where he could just barely move) then super glued little feathers to his wings. That'd confuse him for sure.

I caught a fly in a piece of plastic tubing once whilst bored out of my brain at work. This got boring quickly, so i stapled one end, filled the tube with PVA wood glue, and stapled the other end.

It was disturbingly exciting to watch the fly be completely consumed by white, thick, choking glue. He lasted a total of 55 seconds at which time i shot a staple straight through him.

Exciting stuff.

i sent a clear message to the insect world not to fuck with my plants or i'll torture and murder them.

birds and most insects now respect me and stay away
i have some spider 'friendlies' in all my bushes and ladybugs and sometimes we find praying mantises and stick insects,i love all those guys
