Petri dish substitute?

i'm having trouble finding petri dishes, is there something else i could use instead for the same purpose?

ok, so it works then. REAL petri dishes don't have majik properties or anything, thats cool.

I dont know if you can pressure cook them, but have you thought about using the petri dish type containers that rolls of electrical tape come in?

Although I'd imagine that unless you have an electrician friend they will be more expensive than regular petris.

Next semester I will hopefully be taking some courses with lab hours and I can shop for us :smile:
