Indeed DO NOT spray any mycelium with alcohol. The reason is this: Peroxide serves as an oxidizer and is particularly effective on molds and bacteria because it destroys the cellular walls. Alcohol whether it be Isopropyl or ethyl (the two available for the public), particularly high percentage alcohol works by way of hydrophilic properties meaning that even short exposure by mycelium to makes it unable to hold moisture. In addition, the fact that alcohols are so hydrophilic allows them penetrate quickly through water holding mediums like mycelium. This causes an even further problem: The alcohol evaporates slowly since it has penetrated the mycelium. It stays there and just keeps on killing you see. Peroxide works only on the surface and quikly dissipates leaving nothing but H2O.

Anywhere from 1:10 to 1:20. Thats 3% peroxide to water. I use a 1:16 ratio for just about everything.
For supplies: Dr Bluethumb For spores: FSR

H2O2 is only effective against certain bacteria and mold spores when they first germinate. It does not harm shroom mycelium because shrooms produce an enzyme called catalyse that converts H2O2 into water and oxygen. The green stuff produces enormous amounts of catalyse and drinks peroxide for breakfast. Once it starts to grow on your cakes, H2O2 only makes it worse. I find the best way to deal with the green meanies is to let the cakes go dry, very dry if necessary, and then slowly rehydrate them.
