Gitmo Torture.
    #10365620 -

This is a story brought to you by the same individual who reported on Blackwater.

http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2009/05/guantanamo-prisoners-still-being.html

It appears that both the past and present administration is guilty of horrific crimes against humanity.  America should not be a nation that tortures.

What do y'all think?

sources are more than questionable, a link to some guys blog
with links to sites like democracy now and counterpunch... first
everyone whined about waterboarding, as it's discribed it's far
from torture, try it yourself, want to know what real
waterboarding is, pour 20 gallons of water into someones face
over the course of a couple of minutes, ask a question, when
they start to speak, start pouring

wanna know what torture is, imagine having your teeth ripped
from your head or the skin removed from your back, imagine a
20kv electric shock being applied repeatedly until you're
unconscious or your heart stops then being revived for it to
start again

Imean seriously, some reporter is describing what happened in a
place that media isnt allowed, Jeremy Scahill sure seems like a
fraud so far

I like it when people try to justify torture when I'm listening to a.m. radio. Just because foreigners are not "protected" by the constitution. Doesn't make it ok. Not to mention, you rarely get accurate information. They also say, "our military has to go through torture during training before they're allowed to do it., so it's not a big deal" Lame argument. I've also heard the "it's not physical torture, just psychological" Umm, excuse me. Sleep depravation,"waterboarding" Through Stressfull psychological torture, is damaging to the body.

The reporter was just the same guy who did work on Blackwater.  I do not think that I would discredit the source out of hand.

Just because you would prefer that something isn't true doesn't make it false.

Fucked up shit happens on this planet.

It is a fact that American government agencies have perpetuated some pretty nasty operations over the years.

Assassinations of elected officials in foreign nations followed by propping up a U.S. puppet is a standard operating procedure.

I would just prefer that America come back to it's roots of a non-interventionalist foreign policy.

Maybe...

I guess I just don't really give a fuck. It's not on my conscious, I'm not the one doing it.

You'll give a fuck, when it's done to you.  If you can't do it to U.s. citizens, there must be something wrong with it. Except now, if you're a suspected terrorist in the states. Your citizenship can be stripped from you. You can be tortured, now.

just because some guy writes a story, that doesnt make it true,
if it were, we'd all be scientologists

I'd prefer they didnt because when they were not fighting
foreign wars they were murdering 6 million of the native
inhabitants of this country

If it's none of those things, what's the incentive to even do it?
