I cannot tell from your picture... on my monitor both of the circled areas look the same. There are two causes of yellow... too much water or contamination. There are seveal species of yellow contamination that are pretty nasty, so be careful.

If it turns out to be contamination, open the jars up under water in a 10% bleach solution and let them soak for half an hour or so before working with them. Do not breath in anything from yellow contamination. (Don't stick your nose down there to smell it!)

If it is too much moisture, no worries, though overly wet environments tend to grown other contamination. Too much moisture will usually mean there is condensation on the sides of the jars and maybe even a bit of water pooled at the bottom of the jar (less likely).

I have a question. Why is it dangerous to smell contaminations ?!
I always do that with my jars, and if I have a cold, I ask my friends to smell it and then to tell if something is wrong or not. I just have the impression that it is not a good thing to do, but why ?!

Many contaminates release microscopic (invisible to the naked eye) spores. These spores are just waiting for a nice warm moist environment in which to "hatch" and start reproducing within. The mucus membranes of your nose and lungs, for many microbs, make a perfect home. Your nasal passages are very close to your brain and can provide a quick and easy pathway for microbs to travel. Very few drugs can pass the brain blood barrier which makes it difficult to treat anything that starts to grow there. They can also travel from your sinus passages into your neck, lymphatic system, and in some cases spinal cord. The results are bacterial meningitis. Anything that starts growing in your lungs can lead to pneumonia or create other respiratory problems.

(Edit: fixed a few of my more obvious spelling errors)

Just be careful and you should be fine. Almost all of the contamination you are likely to see is benign, but I figure why take chances. I am probably a little bit more paranoid than most of the people around here when it comes to contamination, but I used to work in a lab that delt with some of these on a daily basis and I have seen first hand what they can do.
