first poem

well, first poem i've written without beiing required too by school. just felt insipired i guess. hope you like:

Surely you're tired of playing their games:
of waiting in line ... waiting in vain.
you've waited for nothings, half-truths and disdain;
forgotten your hearts, turned outward for gain...

Perhaps you have thought, "oh! what can be done?"
the vision is clear, quite seemingly shunned.
it is Eden we seek, the way is the one...
thus for eternity ... we dance in the sun.

thanks. it feels like a song when i read it too. if/when i learn to play an instrument i will turn it into one .

When I first looked at it, I didn't think it was that great because of all the rhymes ....because some people tend to work too hard when trying to find rhyming words and then lose the meaning of their poem......but I think you really handled it well. I like it alot....good job.

fools of the ages
masters of reason
tide us with lies
long out of season

fear rears its head
doubt close behind
anger strikes swift
leaving you blind

but there is one
apart from the many
love clears the way
you have it a plenty

soon you shall see
the thruth through the web
waiting as always
prying open your head

I like the second part:

fear rears its head

Like blind rage (anger) you really fit the rhymes in smootly.
