From what I have seen of them, they look like foam discs that are sticky on one side. The key is to get the square die impulse sealer to affix the plastic over top. Im sure if you got a tube of silicone and put a nice size dab on a bag and allowed it to dry it would work.

No real help, just an idea. I remember that one time when i attempted pc'ing some syringes, then forgot and left them on for 5hrs. All the plastic was melted away, but the rubber seals were perfectly intact. Since they have that those 2 ribs in the edge, you could probably pop one of those in a jar lid.and it might seal like a grommet. you'd have to force a nail through it to make the hole first though. It wouldn't work for a bag without some doing. I havn't done this, but may try it for fun.

There was a post here from someone using oven bags that said silicone caulk would work. Sounds like it would work.

So just apply it to the bag and when it comes time innoculate threw it? Sounds reasonable.

WAKE UP
The injection site patch autoclave bag is a USELESS EXPENSIVE GIZMO that is only effective at getting newbies to purchase them on impulse at very spendy prices. Nothing more.
Any autoclave bag (after being PC'ed) can be injected with a syringe, simply by peicing it's skin with the needle, then taping the hole -- over when you withdraw the syringe.
If anybody is even mildly worried about it? You can enforce any autoclave bag area, where you wish to inject it, by putting a small piece of tape over the spot -- first. Then inject through that tape & the bags skin. Then, tape over the site, again.
If you are .............SUPER UTTERLY TOTALY ANAL about it?
3M & other companies sell a type of industrial tape in 50 foot rolls an inch wide & 3/16th inch thick that has something on the order of sticky perma/glue on one side (meaning, it sticks like super glue). It is like an industrial duty rubber weather stripping tape.
The tape can be injected through & the hole closes when you withdraw the syringe. One 50 foot roll of that will make 600 one inch squares.

Ignorance is not pretty, your brain only works when you work it. Use it share it and clean out the bullshit because its a dog eat dog world out there. The really bad news is their also getting meaner and hungrier. Dog = People if you didn't see the connection. This has been a deep thought. Sorry for any offense. Much Love -- Brody--

i" make my own self healing injector site by squirting a glob of hi temp silicone on the bag and putting a couple of pieces of masking tape over it after it dries to make sure the silicone doesn't fall off later. it has worked well for me so far"
thats what i did, but like you say it falls off. now i just put a blob on the actual filter patch. it never falls off

punch a hole in the tyvek and apply the silicone to both sides so it dries into a solid grommet, otherwies it can be pulled off.
