I made $90 today, selling couches I found in the trash.

yeah, about a year ago I started collecting every couch i could find on the side of the road in the little college town i live in. The plan was to move them into my house eventually, in the mean time they stayed in my GF's basement.

so for a year they sat at my Gf's and my houses, getting older, and dirtier than they were when i first took em out of the trash.

today i listed them online, and had well over 20 calls, and sold 2 couches, and 3 arm chairs for $15 each and got paid $15 for delivery on one of the sales.

$90, for trash.

I think that im  going to go into business doing this :smile:

capitalism at its finest!

You should use eBay because of the rating system... Will make it easier to do business as you gain a better reputation.

Ever tried looking on Craigslist at the free section? My buddy does that shit,sometimes someone will just be giving away something thats still halfway decent,and he will go get it,and sometimes pawn it or just put a for sale ad for the same thing on CL. He actually makes some decent money doing this in his spare time.

Ive heard the saying before "one mans junk is another mans treasure".

Fuck yes.
I've furnished entire apartments with perfectly fine stuff that way. Hit them as the semester ends. Private schools are best.

Major props to you man! I've sold things I've gotten out of the
trash for cash!
I like to think of myself as a middle man, helping one find something from
another.

Plus it is fun. I do this with old computers/tech stuff all the time!
