For me, Allegra (what your doc gave you) doesn't do jack shit. The only thing that works for me is Zyrtec. It's OTC now, but don't buy the brand name stuff, it'll cost way too much. Get the generic, cetirizine. I bought a 90 day supply at WalMart for like 25 bucks. If that doesn't work, try Claritin aka loratadine.

Loratadine and cetirizine can both make you drowsy, but much more so with loratadine. If your allergies are really killing you at night time, take Benadryl (diphenhydramine). Works every time but is almost guaranteed to knock your ass out.

boxcarguy: I highly doubt vinegar or honey will inhibit leukotrienes or histamines. Alternative medicine leads to alternative death.

it's at least worth a try man. it helps me when i feel allergic (although my allergies are mostly cat-related), and helps lots of other people with their allergies too.

also, wtf to that bolded part? I highly doubt he's going to die because of allergies, or my suggested remedies. Either way, I happen to believe so-called "conventional" medicine leads to death, and if not death than certainly not life.
