Baraka.  No words or plot lines to distract you, just a long and beautiful meditation on the human condition.  The visuals are stunning and it has a strong spiritual component.  Of course, nothing compares to actually being outside in nature during your trip.

Animatrix

Naqoyqatsi

Planet Earth

any Hayao Miyazaki movie

New Swirled Order

I like movies without a complex plot for tripping on low doses of shrooms, for higher doses just crawl under the covers and you can watch the best movie of all.

I feel that, in general, tv is damn hard to understand while tripping. As well, trying to understand it is very attaching to reality. But I watched lord of the rings with my friend while tripping last night, pretty good movie for psychedelics. He wanted to watch the Animatrix as well, we forgot.

Alice In Wonderland.

The Matrix Trilogy would most likely be pretty major 2ooh

I don't know if it's just me, but watching TV always makes me come down from my trip.

I tried to watch 2001 a space odyssey once,

i can't watch movies tripping,

they annoy me,

i can't understand what the character's are saying, or who they're talking to, and I ALWAYS turn them off,

what I do enjoy watching is live concert DVD's, pulse, ohh good stuff.

Space Odyssey had an element of awkwardness to it when I was tripping. The long black screens with dramatic music and the one scene with the spacecraft landing taking 10 minutes.. I was twitching a little haha.

Some movies I enjoy tripping to (in random order):
2001: A Space Odyssey
Yellow Submarine
The Labyrinth (With David Bowie )
The Beach
Pink Floyd The Wall
Apocalypse now
What Dreams May Come
Vanilla Sky
A Scanner Darkly

There is more I can't think of..

Agreed, Waking Life.

Alice in Wonderland (Hallmark Version)(if you're feeling in that mood)(could've sworn the director was on shrooms while directing)

KOYAANISQATSI!!!!

Irrespective of the fact I'm likely giving the question more thought that it deserves--it's hard, as a cinephile, to answer.
The first order has to do with your taste in movies and your personality.
The second order has to do with what you want to engage: your senses, your emotions, or your thoughts.  The best engage all three, which is why films like 2001: A Space Odyssey are so highly recommended.
Here are some randomized recommendations according to chronology:
Them (Giant ants, bro; 1954)
Forbidden Planet (Successful sci-fi; 1956)
2001: A Space Odyssey (Epic, requires patience)
Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (Better for acid than shrooms, totally of-the-moment which was 1970)
Stalker (Russian, slow, artful, existential; not recommended for most people)
Blade Runner (Brilliant, densely aesthetic foray into retro-futurism; 1982)
Akira (Fucking awesome--not only in the plot but of course in the animation; 1988)
Wild at Heart (David Lynch)
Baraka
Princess Mononoke (Exceptionally-realized anime)
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (Successfully blends the spectacle of fantasy-martial arts with drama)
Mulholland Dr. (David Lynch again)
Donnie Darko
Animatrix (Picks up where the Matrix universe leaves off with a variety of animated shorts~some trippy as all hell; better as a whole than Matrix 2 and 3 combined)
Fearless (Jet Li) (Tremendous martial arts film)
Transformers (Giant robots, bro)

During peak hours (these movies have awsome soundtracks and lots of eye candy)

Dark Side of the Rainbow
Hero
The Fountain

For the comedown

Imagine: John Lennon
Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy
Legend
Natural Born Killers

It kind of depends on your taste of movies though.  Just because it's "trippy" or good for psychedelics might not mean you'll like it.
