dude my friend had that and it turned out to be a hernia. get that shit checked out, he needed emergency surgery.

Yeah that's not correct at all.  It may be harmless, but there's a very definite blood/testi barrier that's supposed to prevent blood from getting into your sperm itself, so it's probably getting in there somewhere else during the ejaculation... and that's just not good.

I've had it happen twice. First time I had epididymitis and needed antibiotics. Second time was just a random occurrence.

First time it happened it was mortified. Talk about an awkward conversation with the parents.

"Uhhh guys, I had blood in my semen, I think I need to see a doctor."
"How do you know you had blood in your semen?"
"What the fuck? Did you really just ask me that?"

yeah i had that a couple of years ago... got it from riding my bicycle... it really freaked me out, but when i looked into it i was relieved...

does a hernia involve a bulge in your lower abdomen? i definitely had one of those, but i figured it was just that i'm skinny and had lots of gas in my intestine... should i be worried?

That's definitely a possible hernia.

Sleepy, let us know what the doc said.

I don't care for doctors myself (and I work in a hospital) but there's a time and place for them. Blood where it doesn't belong, with no explanation, is such a time. Good choice.

I would  have lied and said blood in my urine than told the doctor the truth just to save the awkwardness.

yeah, get it checked out. i don't like doctors [or medical expenses] either but if it's a hernia and it needs surgery you're looking at years of it getting worst untill you have no choice, or a quick surgery and a few weeks till it's all better.
