HEPA with marthas?

Got to make sure FAE is taken care of. If marthas are set up in a dusty and dirty room with stale air would a HEPA be necessary? The marthas will have long slits on the sides. HEPA, fan, open window, what?

A hepa is not really necessary. Just vacuum the room, or clean it or something if it's dirty.

An open window would be a good idea. A coolmist humidifier, such as a Vicks v400, would help circulate the air and keep relative humidity higher

You don't need sterile conditions for fruiting - you just need fresh air exchanges to keep the air from getting stale.

I got the v420 model, cheapest one avail and it seems like a pretty good choice.

One other thing though, can I put it in the very bottom of a 4 tier greenhouse where a tray is set up? Surrounded by perlite...or is my only option bottom shelf or install it from outside?

Cleaning the room is a huge task, some stuff in there has been there for over 20 years. Guess I'm just a little paranoid though.

Guess I'll open a window (during the night or day or 24/7?) since it's not too close to the set up itself.

You cant really get away from having to clean your working area. It will cause you problems in the long run. Some people will clean an entire area when they get hit with contamination so it doesnt ruin future grows. Its in your best interests to keep your grow room clean.

run your humidifier inside, when your greenhouse isnt full you can use a tray of perlite on a shelf to take the pressure of your humidity, and once your greenhouse is full that will also help with rh

I'll clean the place up, disinfectant spray the room before moving stuff in, disinfectant wipe the stuff that stays in the room, etc, but it's still a yucky room lol

The humidifier (v420) will be running from inside, placed underneath the greenhouse in a tray (that the greenhouse is stuck in with PL-400) and I guess I should surround the humidifier with perlite?

Purchased a shop lite fixture and two 48" bulbs which will hang directly in the middle of the martha setup (middle shelf area)...pretty good deal, the bulbs are way cheaper than I thought (like $4 each!)

Containers were an icky situation. Dollar store had no useful ones so I ended up spending almost $100 at a department store on containers - and there's barely enough to fill one martha + incubation. I'm going to probably use them all as incubation since they are all rubbermaid (blue, not see through) and I'm guessing it's best to use see through if the shrooms are in a container that is even somewhat tall?

Got extension cords and random stuff. Picked up 1 timer but it only allows up to 2 settings so I'm stuck on what to do. Should I go with the 10 on 2 off, 10 on 2 off plan I had? v420 allows 20hrs before refill so that'd be ideal so it's just 1 refill a day. What's the harm if people are running cool mists 24/7, as long as humidity stays up and FAE exists...

Excited to say the least.

Ohh and can you believe it...2 seconds before I found the gardening section in Canadian Tire the person sold their LAST greenhouse!!!
