Anyone ever have any experiences with wormwood

Thujone is what gets you high in Wormwood.. and what is in Absinth to give it that Special kick. I read 2 reports of people making a Thujone hash and Smoking it, infact they are just below. just wondering if any one of you have ever made or tried it?

sounds cool. so would you really have to make a hash? Could you not just smoke teh wormwood plant matter?

I've smoked dried wormwood a few times, with no noticable effects. The most I've had at once was about 1 - 1.5g dried plant material, in a joint. Other times I've just had about a bowl worth mixed with some marijuana.
I guess this isn't really enough if you compare it to those guys at erowid who were smoking 1/4 gram of hash each, so that was made from 1/4oz wormwood. I will have to try experimenting further.
I remember a while ago bluemeanie said that he noticed definate effects of some kind from 'four bowls'.

Yeah, i was reading a book by Jonathan Ott on smoking ethnogens and he was adement that wormwood had a slight, but noticable effect. I had three cones of the stuff and it wasnt particularly a nice smoke, sort of very light and tangy unlike the greenies, but a nice sort of stoned vibe. More clarity than weed - well worth future experiments

It depends on the potency of the individual plant. One time my friend bought an ounce (cheaper than tobacco) and we noticed quite an effect. After several types of experiments we determined the two best ways: do half-and-halfs with pot, obviously. If this is not available, get the LIGHTEST rolling tobacco you can find and mix like two-thirds wormwood one-third tobacco and smoke three or four of those. The reason is that straight wormwood, especially if it's potent, is really really bitter. Light tobacco and/or pot takes away from the kick somewhat. However, on a differenct occasion I bought some myself from a different company and didn't get any effect form smoking it straight. it was very weak. the alcohol suspension was pretty weak, too (it's not called absinthe unless a still is involved.)

As for effects, it makes everything really really funny. For example, I've watched Tank Girl several times. I think it's a pretty bad movie. Actually, it's a really bad movie. But after three wormwood/tobacco joints and a bowl of pot/wormwood that movie was incredibly hilarious, for the first and only time of my life. Wormwood makes stupid shit funny. And some fractal visual hallucinations, but nothing too intense.

So my advice to you is to buy some expense stuff off the internet, because you really get what you pay for with plants. If it's weak stuff you can always do the 5x Salvia Tek where you take five parts wormwood, soak it in high proof grain alcohol, take out four parts, then evaporate alcohol. I
