haha great episode! Surprisingly, street vendors usually make some good food. and nothing beats the hot dogs, unless you get em from Gray's Papaya:grin:

Don't expect places like the Village, soho or the lower east side to bare any resemblance to what youve read or seen about in earlier books/movies.  Manhattan has become fairly homogeneous which is a shame, though you can still have a lot of fun there.  To find the strange areas now, one has to explore the other boroughs.

It's a lot of fun.look online and see if there is any events or street fairs. Walking around the village and parks are also enjoyable.Try to pre plan a couple destinations. A few places off the top of my head that you could check out are the natural history museum, museum of art, the village,empire state building, Bronx zoo, new york aquarium and the botanical garden.

u oughta see this like documentary or some undercover thing they did where they went into the storage facilitys of most of the street hot dog vendor places.  ud think twice about eatin another street hotdog.  i mean, maybe you would.  i dont.  them shits are tasty!

Eat lotsa :pizza: pies. I saw this thing on food detectives that confirmed NY has the best pizza because of the NY tap water used to make the dough. They compared tap water from LA and CH but NY reigned supreme.

What to expect? Crazy fucking cab drivers who drive like maniacs and who honk NON fucking stop!

Expect to be able to buy a pair of shoes at 2am at footlocker, expect tons of people out at all hours of the morning.

I love going to NYC, it's pretty :awesome: , I don't buy anything from anyone on the street so I can't tell you how the hotdogs are. I always go to the Hard Rock cafe at like 1:30am and it's always full.

I remember my first time going to NYC, the first thing I saw when I got otu of the car and started to walk was 3 cops pinning a black guy to the wall handcuffing him. He looked like some poor N-bomb crackhead. Cops there are pretty cool, they let me sit on their motorcycle and take a pic, I took pics with a few cops to.

It's a cool experiemce for sure.
