That's interesting to know. I also have relatives who fled to U.S. while communists were in charge here. My great-grandfather was sent to Siberia, because he didn't want to lend some money to his neighbor, so the neighbor told the russians that my great-grandfather was an german spy. The next day he was token from his home with force and putted on train to Siberia without no investigation. He was really lucky he made it back, most of them who were sent there never saw their relatives again.
