Anyone know about hookahs?

So I want to buy a hookah bad but I dont know what brands are good, what flavors are best. I'm thinking to get a Mya hookah from hookah & shisha central but only since thats what my friend has which seems like im a copycat. Any advice?

Honestly almost any hookah from there is going to be about the same, go for the style you want more than anything. I'd also recommend just getting a single hose. Multi-hose hookahs to me seem fucking pointless.

Tangiers is phenomenal tobacco, but it's also very difficult to use. I'd recommend starting with Al-Fakhir, the gold blends are the higher quality, but the normal is still good. Best brand aside from Tangiers in my opinion. Also, get coals that AREN'T quick light. Makes it so much better. I suggest Coco Nara.

The number of hoses should varry depending on the environment you'll have it in.  I've hung out in places where a 4-hose just wasn't enough, and also hung out at my buddys where it's only him smoking it.

All depends on what ya' n eed it for

But what's the point. Only one person can hit it at a time. More hoses means a few more bucks for hose plugs when there isn't someone else to smoke with ya.

Because passing sucks.  Period.

Hookas are used by a lot of stoners, stoners are lazy, lazy people dont actively pass things, especially things with hoses that droop and are likely to knock over bongs that are probably sitting on the same table as the hookah.

It's just more of a hassle, and dangerous!

nonono, the point is multi-hose hookas eliminate the need to pass the hose, and thusly move the hose, and thusly increase the odds of breaking a bong.


Single-hose hookas need to be passed.
Multi-hose hookas (although there are more hoses) do not require movement of the aformentioned hoses.

No, but it isn't to spend extra money on hose plugs and buying (at least) twice as many hoses. Lots of multi-hose hookahs don't have ball bearings either.

Oh, and small hookahs smoke just as well (some even think better) than their larger counterparts, and they are much cheaper. It's a good place to start for your first hookah.

Whatever man people might comment but if it smokes fine then no one will give a shit.
I mean if you're willing to pay more that's fine. I agree that they look better, but I'm happy with the ones I have now.
Getting quality tobacco and coals, and then learning how to pack a good bowl, are more important than what you're hookah looks like in the long run. At least when you're first starting out with hookahs.
