Who knows anything about hookahs? And I'm not talking about "bongs" or to smoke weed out of, I'm talking about a regular hookah, that you smoke that "shisha" tobacco out of.
I need to find a quality one, but a cheap one. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm gonna try to quit smoking cigarettes.

anything that's air tight and rust risistent is good enough... usually the hose is crappy and ugly, i'd get some sort of flexible long plastic from a hardware store (cooking gass hose or even the air conditions water hose work good) and use that!
fill the ceramic bowl complitly with loosened tobbacco (but not too much so that it would not tuch the foil directly) wrap with foil and put many tiny hole all over the foil... make sure the coal is red hot and placed the right way on top (usually these coals have a star shape or an indented side to them which should be facing the foil... it lets air get to the underside of the coal and keeping it burning) toke some long drags untill the smoke is heavy and rich... i don't move the coal unless it starts burning the tobbacco (smoking too fast will do that) and i usualy place the coal on one side of the bowl and when it's too cold i replace with a new one on the other side of the bowl.
hooka smoke is probably alot worse then ciggs but you don't smoke as often so

You can also actually make your own out of a huge bowl (bought at any local head-shop, or online if a headshop isn't available in your area), a pumpkin, and 4 hoses....not precisely relevant...but true none the less! Here's sopmething a bit more relevant to your hunt... http://www.hookahhookah.com/store/catalog/Dragon_Hookah_p_16327.html

I've been a happy hookah owner for two years (actually have 2 of them). Here are some suggestions I have:
1) Don't buy a hookah with more than one hose. I know the "three hose hookahs" sound like they'd be fun for parties, but convincing everyone to plug their hoses while one person at a time takes a hit is a pain. Just get a hookah with one hose and pass it around, everyone will enjoy it more.
2) Buy a hookah. Seriously, get a nicely built hookah, it's classier than something you glommed together at a hardware store. Plus, you'll have the advantage of not constantly wondering if you're out of tobacco or is the bolts are just loose.
3) You can get a good quality hookah for as little as $25 in the Arab neighborhoods of most major cities. Don't be afraid to haggle a little, and definitely shop around.
4) You should also, however, be realistic about what you're buying. A little "table-top" hookah will be cheap, maybe even less than $25, but if you want one of the nicer 3-feet-tall hookahs, expect to pay $60 or more. Again, this is another reason to buy locally, the ebay sellers will kill you on shipping.
5) Don't necessarily shop the headshops for hookahs. Seriously, where I live (Chicago) you can get cheaper hookahs at convenience stores in the Arab neighborhood than you can at any of the popular headshops. This is not to say that all headshops have bad deals, but its worth checking several sources.
6) DO NOT PUT CIGARETTE TOBACCO in the hookah. Instead find someplace that sells sheisha (sometimes called nargeela). This is tobacco mixed with molassas and fruit/other flavoring, and is what you would get if you ordered a hookah at a restaurant. It's relatively cheap. IMHO the best sheisha comes from Jordan or Egypt, but you can form your own opinions about that. Also, most stores that sell you sheisha will also sell self-lighting coals, so that you can get your hookah started with a match/lighter instead of a stovetop.
Anyway, I hope some of this helps. If you need any more info, please don't hesitate to PM me.
Buying a hookah was one of the better investments I ever made, and I'm happy to help anyone thinking about getting one.
Edit: On hookahs and cigarettes - I don't smoke cigarettes, but many of my friends do. The hookah isn't enough to calm their cravings. Infact, they'll frequently take breaks from the hookah to smoke a cigarette, so if you're looking to a hookah as a method of quitting cigarettes, it's not the best...

If you want a quality hookah, be sure to buy one with a stainless steel shaft, not a brass one. Brass tends to rust after a while (you have to wash it regularly) and is more prone to small leaks in the welded areas, which you want to avoid at all cost. On the other hand, stainless steel will usually last much longer because it is more sturdy.
Several years ago, when I knew nothing about that stuff, I bought a cheap (30$) hookah at a local arab market and it turned out to be a piece of junk. I ended up using it for 2 weeks until me and my friends went back to the local hookah lounge, just to give you a hint on how bad the smoking experience was. There were several leaks from the start, plus it looked like shit. The same thing happenned to my friend, except he made the mistake to buy a taller one - which basically just cost more for the same crap.
Anyways, the better ones tend to be pricy, but trust me they are worth every penny. I ended up buying a taller one two years ago from an internet vendor and have been very happy with it even though it cost me 100$ with shipping (they usually sell you a "kit" for that price which included thongs, a pack of charcoals, cleaning brushes and sometimes tobacco also).

I don't agree, everyone having their own pipe much nicer and less hassle than passing the thing around. You can get pipes with a one-way air valve in them, so then people don't have to plug their pipe opening. We use a four pipe hookah and everybody can take a hit at the same time.

pantsboy got a hoohkah about 2 weeks ago. definetly a good infestment. as far as tips i can only say this. stay away from very unnatural perfumy tobbacos. we got one called "winter flower" under the impression that it "tasted how yellow roses smelled" it actualyy tastes like sucking on a whores dirty ass hole.
2 hoses is not too much of a burden. but keep in mind you need to plug one if the other is in use.
hookahs are very relaxing and in my opinion go great with a mushroom trip. you just get to lay back and play with smoke, on of my favorite things to do while tripping
also weed in a hookah rarly is a good idea, somtimes we throw a bowl or 2's worth on top of the nargela. this will burn for minut or too and usualy get you pretty fucked up. but it burns much faster and smokeyer than the tobbaco so you have to watch out
enjoy

Try putting it *below* the tobacco, not on top. The coal will burn the weed up in seconds if you let them touch, but if you can put some distance between them it's *almost* like a vaporizor and very enjoyable. This can be hard to engineer, since the bottom of the clay bowl tends to have big holes in it, but if you're willing to play around with the position of the tobacco you can make it work; besides, when isn't it fun to spend a few extra minutes on a really good bowl?
