My advice is to find those things that give pleasure and do them often without too much attachment and relax and wait for the show to end.

I like free markets and all. Truly I do, at least in general, but there needs to be some kind of oversight in recognition of sustainability. Life works the same way, on a bunch of sustainable systems. Why not honor what made us what we are and take some lessons? Nature FTW!

Looks like my thread got locked.  I intentially made a double post in order to add double credibility to zorbman's Kennedy thread (or vice versa).  At first glance, you would think that one of us had seen the news and made a thread here without checking to see if someone had beat us to it.  Our two threads were a double April Fools assault. 

I think it was a total win!  :smile2:

For real, I am so fucking sick of the Kennedy's.  Can you imagine if a normal person did what Ted did, the sense of entitlement he must feel is so infuriating.  JFK is fondly remembered for reasons that are well beyond me, the man stole the election everyone.  Hell even today a Kennedy almost got into Congress only because of her name, it'll be a great day when I no longer have to hear their name anymore.

If you don't think Dick Nixon cheated more than Jack Kennedy, you're off your rocker.

Now, Daley may have rigged some votes in Chicago.  And maybe LBJ did in Dallas.

But where did Nixon come up with the 75,000 "absentee" ballots that showed up the day after the election and gave him California?

There may have been crooks in the Democratic party, but JFK was not one of them.  Nixon, on the other hand, was a lying and thieving bastard of the most foul kind, as evidenced by his actions when he finally did get his hooves on the presidency.

I didn't know that about Nixon, Ill have to look into this matter further.
JFK's was pretty blatant however.  Both my grandparents grew up in poor families in Chicago in the 20's.  They eventually left Chicago because as they put it the corruption was too blatant, and they would see the mob openly operating in their parts of town.
