yeah dude i saw that too. he comes in decked out in abercrombie and fitch looking like a genuine broskie, and all the little teenage girls are reaching out trying to touch his feet lol. the guy has talent but i think his attitude is too annoying to deal with.

one of my friends did play an album of his on a long car ride though, and i got into it. i think not having to look at him while he performs greatly enhances his act.

totally agreed. he's copied so many other comedians, and his approach and technique isn't even humorous. he's just an ordinary guy trying to be a hipster and get some laughs. NOT WORKIN ON ME THAT'S FOR SURE.

And to go one step further - Copied = Plagiarized!!

Him and Carlos Men-"steal"-la are both joke thieves. Cook is only funny to 17 yr olds and little girls. (no swipe @ 17 yr olds but there is just a difference  between what the kids like and what ppl like me, like)

Absolutely not! he is a terrible mediocre hack and a joke thief at the same level as Carlos Mencia, hes stolen jokes from Louis CK, and Bill Hicks to name just a few. He deserves the career failure hes going to eventually receive. The comedy business is one that usually adheres to an honor system because of the fact that you cant copyright a joke, but when "performers" like this steal routines from real comedians and part of what I call the artist community it really grinds my nuts.

Broaden your horizons beyond Dave Chapelle and you might find even the comedians we hold dear today have lifted off a great deal of Lenny Bruce's act; folks like Carlin, and Bil Hicks. Inspiration has to come from somewhere but Dane Cook tells a joke someone else has already told and just muddles the punchline, it is the same as a student copying a wikipedia page for an essay and just re-arranging the words. Its not their original thought or artistic interpretation its almost like grabbing a thesaurus and replacing words so you don't get busted for direct plagiarism.

Comedy is an art of humorous observation and Dane Cook does not have this; hes got an idiotic flail and the ability to re-word other peoples jokes. More like a handicapped parrot.
