South Park evolved into a kind of social commentary type of show. The message they portray is usually legit, but their way of delivering it is become kinda tired.

I still think it's better than family guy tho.

i stopped watching family guy years ago,

south park is alright,

used to be WAY better,

but everything gets old sooner or later.

family guy is terrible. not funny at all. south park still has its moments I think, even though it isn't what it once used to be, but yea- over time shows usually decline in quality

well of course there's exceptions :smile:

and my favorite episode of all time is the "you got served" episode,

but the majority of the recent crap sucks, especially the last 2 seasons.

S.P. isn't as raw as it used to be, even though they take today issues and make fun of them it's just not that great for some reason, but I love how they take on shit that pisses me off, I hate jonas brothers and I was so happy they were making fun of them

I had to revive this thread.  I just caught the new episode, and it was fucking great.  You guys are fucking crazy if you didn't find great comedy in that ep.


-Classic ignorant butters, goin on that huge rant and then sayin "whats a BJ" at the end
-entire scenes dedicated to a conversation with an individual you cant understand
-the sound of the crowd at the jonas brothers concert
-the depth & research put into the mannerisms displayed by the jonas brothers during their show
-the randomness of a half irish, half donald trump Mickey Mouse
-A giant rant about the idiocy of christianity that ends in a rant about how "little girls are fucking stupid".


That episode was great.  I recommend you all pack up a fat bowl, watch it again, and recognize the key items that come together to form a quality SP episode.  My favorite type of SP joke is an act that isn't funny in and of itself, but is consequently made funny due to a prior scenario in a past episode.  South park has that kind of depth - and i love it :cheers:
