Ok, well I got a question along similar lines. I'm not against the whole bar scene or anything like that, but I stopped going to parties, and my friends rarely like to go out and do things with me, so I'm kinda on my own. Really, doesn't have to be a bar, grocery store, laundromat w/e I don't mind talking to girls, but I am fairly shy and timid so I need to work on that.

My question though is, if you're by yourself is this a bad thing? And a follow up, how do you approach a single girl who's in a group? I rarely see girls going out by themselves yunno?

if you want to approach a single girl who is in a group walk up to the group and talk to them as a whole, but pay extra attention to the one youre interested in. be general with the group as a whole, but dont be afraid to get specific with the girl youre interested in. the other girls shes with will pick up on it and know. the key is though, to be friendly to them all. because it only takes 1 to cock block. if they feel their friend you are singling out isnt right for you, or if youre just being rude or creepy, theyll get her out of there right away.

Is it uh... common, or acceptable to even approach groups though? I not have once done it. I always kinda figure girls go out in groups because they want to... be with a group of girls that night, but lately I've started to see another perspective. I dunno though. It's hard enough for me to approach a single girl, much less 2 or 3 at a time.

Oh, and that brings up another question I suppose. What if it's just 2 girls? That seems more difficult for me than 3 or 4, cause then, no matter what, you're kinda just leaving one out, which I'd fear could be insulting to her, or possibly both yunno? is this viewed as insensitive generally, or does it really just depend on the girls?

if theres 2 girls theres not much hope, they wont leave the other singled out. theres nothing wrong with approaching 2 girls though and hanging out with them for the night. at the end of the night, get one of their numbers though.

theres also nothing wrong with approaching a group of more than 2 girls either. like i said, just make sure you talk to the group as a whole w/ more attention towards one of them specifically. if you have the confidence to approach them all, then you have the knowledge to gain the attention of 1 of them.

Actually, I tend not to talk to girls unless I can think of something relevant (in the "I'm trying to pick a girl up" kind of way, not common social stuff). It's kind of a "if I don't have anything to say, I'd rather not try to force it" kind of situation. I find when I try to force something, I always feel like a dork after because I realize that I sounded forced. But if I actually have something to say that interests me, I find it much easier. I think I'm just not a pick up kind of guy.

It doesn't hurt when the girl makes the first move, too. :thumbup:



I am best when the girl hits on me, but that doesn't always happen. Next time I have a party, I will bring low dose benzo with me, have a feeling getting chicks on benzos would be the easiest thing in the world

To any girls in here (or perhaps knowledgeable guys), do ladies like being talked to/hit on in public places? Like the grocery store or something? If so, how do you start up a conversation there? I can start up a conversation fine when I know they want to, but you can't just walkup to a girl in the market and be like 'hey, so what's your name?' and expect her to be interested. Very quickly she's gonna want to know why you're talking to here or else you'll look creepy. I'm no good with that one.

I would like to know this too. I have so many opportunities where I am unsure whether to hit on a girl. What about parking lots? I sometimes see hot girls that give me looks in my college parking lot, but that is a really tricky situation.  Maybe it is worth it to be ballsy and just chat up girls wherever?  But an awkward moment could be a confidence killer too. :confused:

Yah, I suppose in the long run it can't hurt. I keep telling myself, yet I watch myself walk away without saying a word all too often :rofl:

It sucks man. Like, I've gotten shot down at bars and then just been too embarrassed to even go back to that bar again :undecided:. It's not so bad anymore, but... it takes awhile to build up that confidence for me, then to have it all taken away in a matter of minutes can really be a blow. There's so many missed opportunities though, and I generally don't like the bar scene. The girls are often, at least that I've seen, obnoxious and.. well, I'm just not a big fan of alcohol, so why pick up chicks at bars if that's not what I'm into.

I see plenty of cool chicks out shopping or just walking around yunno, but those types of situations are just... hard to start up with, at least for me.

You take a look in her basket, pick something out, and ask her how she cooks it.  She will know what you are really interested in, but it gives you plausible deniability so if she isn't very friendly you can play it off like you are just interested in learning how to cook. 

If she likes you and she is single she will probably offer to show you how she cooks the item.

Hmm, well I can see that working, but how about some more options. Most of the stuff chicks have (college chicks is who I'm referring to) are not things you cook, they're things you heat up :rofl2:.

OH I see u have some ramen there.  Have you ever tried adding a pinch of cayenne red pepper and garlic to that?  No?  Would you like some ice in your ass & pussy?  It is also desirable.

This works 100% of the time if the girl is overdosing at the grocery store while you ask.
