proper sushi tonight.

My Australian roomate is an ex-sushi chef.

So, tonight we made sushi. we also made Edamame and got some Sake.

We are even eating japanese style, and I finally get to try out my new Tea set.  in that I am going to put Genmai cha (or Green tea with toasted brown rice).

I've been in Japan for over 2 weeks now and still haven't eaten any sushi.
Shame on me, shame on me :smirk:

Also love Japanese ramen. Especially after getting really drunk it tastes amazin.

i sometimes get sushi at a mall near here plus theres a sushi place with a conveyor belt about 15minutes walk from me

i eat most foods from most cultures

We go to this sushi place in town and their food is really good. They have a convenient online ordering service which we use often because with your first order you automatically receive a 20% off coupon. So we just make a new account every time. It totally flies. :grin:

i made it with a kit ages and ages ago and after mixing the rice wine with the rice it all tasted pretty good,even fiddly homemade ones but now its cheaper to buy them ready made from sushi outlets freshly made

Most Japanese food is really good actually. Sushi, sashimi, okonimiyaki, sukiyaki etc etc...

I noticed most Japanese ppl are really fond of good food. I once went hitchhiking in Japan and got a ride from a guy who was driving 250 kilometres to eat some specific noodles at a specific restaurant.

Strange people...
