Does Limbaugh consider himself a conservative? Does he support individual freedoms?

He does and he does.

How does that fit with his stance on drug laws?

How does ANY American political figure's stance on drug laws fit with their support for personal freedoms? Or for that matter, the stance of any GLOBAL political figure of any consequence?

Let's not limit it to drugs, let's extend it to other victimless crimes as well - let's add prostitution and gambling to the mix.

Name one with any influence who supports the freedom of people to imbibe whatever they choose, to pay a hooker for sex, to run a casino wherever he deems fit rather than just on a Native American reservation or a ship in international waters.

It is a sad fact of life that pretty much every politician in power worldwide - no matter their party affiliation - or with even the slightest hope of attaining any significant political influence is against your right to shoot up smack or smoke crack or chow down on meth or yes... even to spark up a phattie.

Rush is a conservative, not a Libertarian.

The he does not support individual freedoms; he supports individual freedoms he likes. This is no different than what modern liberals believe in. The only difference is what those freedoms are.

It is quite a stretch to say that he supports, unqualified, individual freedom.

But that is the crucial difference. Conservatives support more freedoms than Liberals do, while Libertarians/minarchists/Laissez-faire Capitalists support even more. Do Conservatives support every single possible human freedom? Nope. They just support more of them than Liberals do.

I must point out the majority of Liberals also oppose legalizing prostitution, gambling, and drug use.

Please show which one of those links says that, because I can't find it.  Thanks.

The thirty or so parts that quote references to such disagreement as treason, maybe?

Why don't you just get specific and find one?  Because you haven't yet.  Just for an example of the utter bullshit you spew I followed SourceWatch to the NY Sun citation.  I got to this:

Quote:
By Timothy NoahPosted Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at 5:05 PM ET

On Feb. 6, the New York Sun published an editorial equating dissent with treason. The subject was an anti-war march planned in New York City on Feb. 15. Although the Sun grudgingly conceded that the protesters "probably do have a claim under the right to free speech," it went on to argue that anyone who marches against war with Iraq is providing "aid and comfort" to Saddam, and therefore committing treason as defined by Article III of the Constitution:

Quote:
There can be no question at this point that Saddam Hussein is an enemy of America. ... And there is no reason to doubt that the "anti-war" protesters—we prefer to call them protesters against freeing Iraq—are giving, at the very least, comfort to Saddam Hussein. ... The more successful the protesters are in making their case in New York, the less chance they'll have the precious constitutional freedom to protest here the next time around.

Timothy Noah, a whiny Slate douche lying about the content of a NY Sun editorial.

So where is it that someone says you can't disagree with the President during wartime.
