Rush Limbaugh adresses CPAC
    #9888124 -

speech here

and i quote "Let me tell you who we conservatives are:  We love people.... We do not look out across the country and see the average American, the person that makes this country work. "

:confused::confused:

what was he trying to say   does anyone listen to this guy anymore?  why is he able to address the nation as a whole on major news outlets?

What was he trying to say?  What he did say.

Quote:
Let me tell you who we conservatives are:  We love people. [Applause] When we look out over the United States of America, when we are anywhere, when we see a group of people, such as this or anywhere, we see Americans. We see human beings. We don't see groups. We don't see victims. We don't see people we want to exploit. What we see -- what we see is potential. We do not look out across the country and see the average American, the person that makes this country work. We do not see that person with contempt. We don't think that person doesn't have what it takes. We believe that person can be the best he or she wants to be if certain things are just removed from their path like onerous taxes, regulations and too much government. [Applause]

We want every American to be the best he or she chooses to be. We recognize that we are all individuals.

Apparently the CPAC.

Holy shit, did he have those fascist geezers fired up.  I was watching part of his speech on CNN (What? They showed it on CNN? But...But...But...They're BIASED), and those bastards were up on their feet cheering every other word, chanting "USA-USA", and just generally acting like the extras in a Rocky movie.

And the right likes to claim that Obama has a cult of personality.

Hey Joe Biden could probably give you an intertube number so you can dial up the video.  The intrawebs seem to save that kind of stuff for, like, forever.

Found it already.  Funny as hell.  It's like a monster truck rally or a WWF event.

Rahmbo today on Rush...

Quote:
“He has been upfront about what he views, and hasn't stepped back from that, which is he hopes for failure," Emanuel told host Bob Schieffer. "He said it. And I compliment him for his honesty, but that's their philosophy that is enunciated by Rush Limbaugh. And I think that's the wrong philosophy for America," Emanuel said.

"But our goal, Bob, is to continue to reach out," Emanuel added. "And it's our desire that the Republicans would work with us and try to be constructive, rather than adopt the philosophy of somebody like Rush Limbaugh, who is praying for failure."

Great speech. Too bad there was no Republican presidential candidate last year capable of making a speech like that. If there had been, the Generational Theft Act of 2009 would never have been passed by Congress and signed into law by the US president and all you young'uns who post here wouldn't be so screwed.

Yes, we're screwed due to the stimulus and not the past 60 or so years of American policy dealing with everything from Vietnam to bananas.

Yes, this will continue to put us in the whole for a while but what of the gigantic debt the Republicans racked up? Does that not count because it was a Republican debt?

No, you didn't lose because of speeches.  You lost because, outside of your parties recently discovered fiscal conservatism, nothing in your parties platform appeals to any rational person in the 21st century.  A platform of homophobia, nationalism, and religious fundamentalism doesn't fly in America.

I hear those policies are huge in Tehran though, maybe you guys have more in common than you thought...

You say all the time that Barack is a horrible speaker.  His speaking ability certainly didn't win him the election.

Rush Limbaugh is a real straight shooter that likes getting down with opiates.

Keep up the great work Rush. I hope that guy never dies.

Just you wait man, Harper and Ignatieff will screw Canadian taxpayers just as hard as Obama and co., when the time comes. I wouldn't operate under the illusion that we in Canada are 'safe' beyond temporary insulation.
