Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Watched it tonight with my girl (or at least until she fell asleep lol) and I thought it was excellent. At first I was annoyed that I didn't see it earlier, but I think it was the perfect time for me to see it. I'm in a strange situation right now, I'm with a new girl for about two months now and it has been going great. We are so close and we both agree that it feels like we have known each others for such a long time. We really "click". The only obstacle to me is myself because part of me wants to hang on to the ex who I was with for a long time. The movie showed me that I don't need to erase someone though, I need to take what I learned from them and use it to facilitate new things, new experiences etc

Parts of the movie were strange though. Overall awesome.

I guess I like Jim Carey better in "The Mask"

I love Jim Carrey in almost anything he does but then again I feel as though he was apart of my childhood and I find that changes one's outlook on something completely. Same with Robin Williams, Tom Hanks etc.

you should see "Good Dick (2008)"  Just came out.  It didn't get much media attention because the director is new and the film was very low budget.

But trust me it's reallllllly good, very similar to Eternal Sunshine.  I'll probably start a new thread on it eventually.

I thought Eternal Sunshine was a beautiful movie. Really changed how I looked at Jim Carrey. I haven't really enjoyed any other Gondrey films though.

I didn't like that one.  It was too depressing.  The whole movie was nothing but depressing events one after another.  Makes you feel like shit after seeing it
